Dwarf Hibiscus (Turk’s Cap)
General Information: Dwarf Hibiscus Turk’s Cap is a small evergreen tree that is a member of the mallow family. Native to tropical regions of Mexico and Cuba and also to the Gulf States of the U.S. Commonly called Turk’s Cap and Cardinals Hat because the flower petals only partially unfurl, producing narrow funnel shaped bright red flowers. Immature fruit is green and deep red when mature. Great indoor flowering bonsai tree that blooms easily during the growing season.
Lighting: Sun-lover. Indoors on a sunny window or outdoors in full sun or filtered lighting.
Watering: Water frequently and avoid letting it get too wet, or too dry.
