DESCRIPTION

This carnivorous plant pack features a rotating mix of healthy, insect-loving plants such as Venus flytraps, sundews, and pitcher plants—each carefully grown and selected by our team. These fascinating plants get some of their nutrients by catching and digesting insects, making them a natural conversation piece and a favorite for curious growers of all ages.

🪰 Choose at least ONE variety to guarantee in your mix
When placing your order, you can select one preferred variety, and we will ensure it’s included in your pack. The remaining cells will be filled with a random assortment based on current availability and freshness from our nursery.

These plants naturally lose and grow new traps over time. It’s completely normal for older traps to die back during shipping, especially for Venus flytraps. As long as new growth is emerging, your plant is healthy. Simply remove old traps by plucking them gently from the base of the leaf.

ITEM DETAILS

You will receive 1, 3, or 5 assorted baby carnivorous plants.

Sarracenia is a genus comprised of 8 to 11 species of North American pitcher plants, commonly called trumpet pitchers.
Carnivorous Plant Species:

  • Asian Pitcher
  • Judith Hindle
  • Purpurea
  • Venus Flytrap Purple
  • Venus Flytrap Green
  • Sundew

Please note due to seasonality, plants may not have color and will vary in amount of pitchers/ traps. Also it is normal for pitchers/traps to develop brown tips. We usually won't cut it off because that's the cycle of bug eating plant. These traps are still functional!

PLANT CARE

☀️ Lighting ☀️

The pitcher plant prefers shade or indirect light while the other carnivorous plants prefer indirect, filtered light through a window or direct sun if acclimated to it.

🌡️ Temperature 🌡️

Can handle temperatures above 40°F. Most carnivorous plants will die back and go dormant if temperatures stay below 40°F for a prolonged period of time.

💧 Watering 💧

Keep moist. Rain water or distilled water is preferred. Carnivorous plants are sensitive to the chlorine and excess minerals in the water. Use sphagnum, or peat moss to re-pot.
