Gardenia Radicans Live Pre-Bonsai in 6" Pot

Gardenia Bonsai are native to southern China and Japan. The fragrant flowers are very pleasant to added to your environment. It is a acid loving plant. City water most are alkaline so you should add more acid to the soil. 
Lighting: Gardenia will grow in shade to full sun. 
Growing indoors, gardenias do best in a western window. Provide a bright spot, with no direct sunlight. The delicate flowers and leaves of the gardenia plant can burn in direct sunlight, even when the soil is moist. Gardenia likes a daily misting to maintain humidity. Water regularly and never let the soil dry out completely. Dropping of buds on Gardenia Bonsai can occur with over-watering or dry conditions. Gardenias like to be kept evenly moist, but do not do well when misted as damp leaves can encourage fungal growth. Keeping your Gardenia Bonsai pot elevated on pebbles will ensure that the roots do not sit in water which will prevent root rot. It is not a beginner bonsai but lovely with that nice fragrant flowers.
